Source trial balance file
The file Source trial balance (source_trial_balance) gives the trial balance of your source at the cutover date. The system compares it with the opening balances (the checks R-02, R-04, R-06 and R-08). It writes nothing into the company. The file is optional. Without it, a workspace administrator must confirm the check R-04.
Rules of the rows
- Use the account codes of the company: the codes of the file Chart of accounts.
- Write the total of all customers on the control account of the customers, and the total of all suppliers on the control account of the suppliers.
- Use the same rules as the file Account balances for the income and expenses: the current fiscal year to the cutover date, and the earlier years in the retained earnings.
- Write the stock accounts with their balances. The opening balances have them on the opening balance clearing account, so the check R-04 compares their total with that account.
- The file can have a difference between the debits and the credits. The rounding line of the opening has this difference.
- A new file replaces the earlier file.
Rules of the file
- Row 1 has the column names. Do not change them. The data starts on row 2.
- Write the data on the sheet "source_trial_balance". The system reads the sheet "source_trial_balance", or else the first sheet.
- A column that is not necessary can stay empty. You can remove a column that is not necessary.
- A file can have at most 100,000 data rows and 20 MB. Put more data in more than one file.
- Codes and other text: write them as text. Excel keeps a code such as 001 only in a text cell.
- Y means yes and N means no. A list column takes more than one value, separated by ";".
- Do not write formulas. The system reads the values only.
